Spooky Preview

I took Claire (aka "Cheerleadow") to her school Halloween party last night. It served as a dry run for her costume that Uncle Mike and Aunt Tammy got her for her birthday. She had fun and can even do a cheer or two. The "pom pompts" were left at home in favor of the candy bag - you can tell where her priorities are! Candy!

Say what?!?

Claire and I were in the car the other morning getting ready to go to the library and rent a free movie. Part of our neighborhood is blocked off for tree cutting and I had to turn around and go the other way. Claire goes "We're taking a detour." Very matter-of-factly. I couldn't believe it! She told me she learned the word on Caillou. God I hate that show, but I love that it's serving as a thesaures!

Bugsy Eyes

This is Claire watching "Bedtime Stories" with Adam Sandler. For those of you that have caught this flick, it features a pet hamster (or guinea pig - i mean, what's the diff?!) with unusually gigantic, 'bugging' eyes = hence bugsy. Claire likes making this face upon request. Especially when she's trying to change the subject.

Dream a little

She looks so pure and sweet and innocent. DOESN'T SHE?!?! Well she is...when she's sleeping! This photo was taken on an especially naughty day. What's going on in that little brain of hers anyway?

Rain, Rain Go Away!

I am sad to report that Harvest Day, what was to be my first Craft Show featuring Fleur de Liz Designs new Home Decor items, was rained out! Heather and I (and Mike - don't forget Mike...and my mom who drove out the sign featured in the picture b/c I ran out the door without it) set up and we showed our wares for about 90 minutes. I received a handful of compliments and appreciated all of them. But no one bought anything before the sky opened up and rained buckets and buckets! We were quick to realize that it wasn't going to stop anytime soon and packed up anything and waited for Mike to come and pick me and the tent Carrie lended me up.

"Wah Wah" :(

Oh well, it was a learning experience. Now I know how to set up better next time and NO MORE OUTSIDE CRAFT FAIRS. I can't take it!

We went to Main Street in St. Charles and this is right on the Missouri river. go to www.bethberryphotography.com, select her blog to see more (scroll down a bit, it's a few entries down). Thanks Beth!

How 'bout them apples?

We took Claire to Eckert's a weekend or so ago. Apples were picked, tractors were riden, funnel cakes were eaten, cool plants that look like orange, fuzzy, caterpillars were purchased. Good times.
